While listening to her favorite band, Hocking College graduate Annie Gullo knew she wanted to be a part of music. "I wasn't sure how, especially since I was only fifteen at the time. But I knew that being a part of music was the only thing that would make me happy," Gullo said.
Gullo graduated from Hocking College's Music Management program in May 2013. Her biggest deciding factor in attending Hocking was the music program offered. Gullo learned different aspects of the music industry in her classes, as well as what to expect. "My classes really helped to open my eyes more and gave me a lot of life experiences."
Gullo pursued her dreams upon graduating from Hocking College by moving to Nashville, Tennessee where she is interning for two different companies. She works at Modern Works Music Publishing and Provident Label Group in the radio promotions department.
The music industry is a tough business to get into, Gullo explained. "As of right now, I'm just trying to get my foot in the door." Her main goal is to work in music publishing, where she can get more involved with synchronization licenses, which is music with film and television.
